Malvern Prep Malvern Prep Malvern Prep
Malvern Prep bested Cardinal O'Hara to temporarily regain the top spot in AAA standings. The high scoring contest featured the rare penalty shot by MP forward Christopher Putsch which he netted against backup O'Hara goalie Ted Zamonski. With 2 of the Lions goals coming in the final minutes of play the 6-4 loss for O'Hara was really a 6-2 win as far as MP is concerned. Their spot in the standings however is tenuous. With a 7-2 record and a game against resurgent Holy Ghost Prep tonight MP will end either 8-2 or 7-3. The problem is O'Hara, La Salle, and Father Judge have games in hand to reach Malvern in the standings. A big part of this race is tonights contest between MP and HGP which amazingly will be played on 1490 WBCB tonight at 9pm.

in case no one has noticed on the ISCHL/ESHSL website Malvern is only ranked first because they have played more games than LaSalle; LaSalle is really number one now with a 9-0 record.
the standings are what they are. if you played more games you will have more points in the standings. i thought the point being made was that their staying in first was not gonna happen?
