High School Hockey Realignment Proposal Chatter

Internet chatter has supposed that there could be a realignment in the way leagues and divisions are formed. The supposition is that teams could be arranged into geographic divisions more like professional hockey. This could work at the AA and A level since these teams are lumped into one category now as it is and few teams at that level play an extensive non-league schedule. AAA teams, however, may balk at what has been suggested. Namely because divisional play would require more games. A suggested 18 game schedule will not work because teams like La Salle and Malvern play a more extensive non-league schedule and would not want more than the 10 league games they currently play. They want those dates to travel and play a tougher non-league schedule.
