Hockey Week Across Philadelphia

In case you missed it this entire week was declared "Hockey Week Across Philadelphia" by newly installed Mayor Michael A Nutter. According to the Philadelphia Flyers website "USA Hockey is leading the hockey community in a nationwide celebration of the sport in the first-ever Hockey Weekend Across America, which will run from February 15-17, 2008. In conjunction with USA Hockey, the Philadelphia Flyers and Phantoms are supporting this effort with a week of scheduled events across the region to raise public awareness of the sport and provide opportunities for those who have not played hockey to try it." There are events scheduled for the entire week and a photo contest. More information is available on the Flyers website.
