Should High School Hockey Charge For Admission?

In the Philadelphia area this practice is done erratically at best, or worse depending on your point of view. However, across the country, and specifically in hockeytowns, it is becoming the norm. Considering the costs of ice hockey we have already learned to accept a multitude of charges and fundraising as part of hockey itself. In hockey mecca Boston most teams charge to some degree and with various degrees of success, although it seems more likely to succeed in Philadelphia only with larger programs and events. One has to wonder if this is the future of Philadelphia high school hockey and how high prices could go in the future.
