Middle School Teams
There are a plethora of hockey teams today. And more and more of them are now middle school teams. Interestingly most of these middle school teams are SHSHL teams. One would think with a feeder program like that these teams are going to change the shape of hockey in the area. With schools like Council Rock, Pennridge, and North Penn taking full advantage of their youth programs you may see a rise in how and who they play in the near future.

If you want to see a very good middle school team, Holy Ghost Prep has hands down the best team in the area. Their middle school team is made up of 7th and 8th graders, and play a non league schedule. They beat Council Rock North (undefeated Suburban) 7-1, with 10 skaters. They have also beaten the NJ Titans Bantam minor AAA, Hatfield Ice Dogs 94 (peewee nationals last year), NJ Rockets 95 (favorite for nationals this year), and Little Flyers 95 to name a few. They also lost in the semis of the Iceline tournament in the JV-B division with 11 skaters, after going undefeated in the preliminary round, beating some JV-A teams.
Big game next Friday at the NE SZ vs the Icedogs 94s at 545.
Good luck rest of the way!
